Trend 2019 – superfood tea
 

The long list of superfoods is growing every year. Nutritionists are looking for outlandish foods to get the most out of. Americans have already called chayote the big food trend of 2019, which has conquered the leading social networks.

Chayote or Mexican cucumber is a vegetable of the pumpkin family with a dense and buttery pulp. Thanks to its smooth texture and light taste, chayote is suitable for preparing a wide variety of dishes.

Chayote is able to regulate cholesterol levels, improve blood circulation, and lower blood sugar levels. Chayote can be eaten raw, added to salads, smoothies, soups, cereals and even desserts.

 

This “Mexican cucumber” goes well with a variety of vegetables, especially eggplants and tomatoes. The vegetable is delicious to eat and just like that with various spices and sauces. Since the iota root tubers contain starch, flour can be made from it. Also, the Mexican vegetable can be pickled.

In Ukraine, exotic chayote can already be purchased in online stores.
