Tomato Fiesta: Throwing an Italian-style party

In autumn, I want to return to the serene summer days for a short time. To do this, you can arrange a fun Italian party at home. After all, Italy is the very embodiment of summer, eternal holiday and carefree happiness. You just need to invite friends to visit and come up with an interesting treat for a large company. Canapes with a riddle

Italians love polenta corn porridge. They are happy to eat it instead of bread, slicing it and supplementing it with truffle oil or parmesan.

Homemade Italian pizza “Margarita” is a win-win snack for a large company. Tomato paste “Tomato” will help to achieve a classic taste combination. After all, it is made from natural tomatoes of the highest quality, which create a delicate velvety texture.

Let’s start cooking pizza with the dough. We dilute 5 g of dry yeast and 1 tsp of sugar in 100 ml of warm water, leave it in the heat for 10-15 minutes. Sift 280 g of flour with a slide, make a recess, put a pinch of salt in it and introduce the foamed sourdough. Vigorously knead the dough and pour in 30 ml of olive oil in the process. We roll a lump out of the dough and leave it for an hour, so that it grows about twice.

In the meantime, let’s do the sauce. In a frying pan with olive oil, fry 2 crushed garlic cloves and a small onion, cut into cubes. Add 70-80 g of tomato paste, add salt and herbs of Provence to taste. Simmer the sauce over low heat until it thickens.

We knead the dough with our hands and roll out a thin round base with a diameter of 30-35 cm. We thickly lubricate it with tomato sauce, retreating from the edges by 2 cm. Cut the mozzarella into thin slices, cut the cherry tomatoes in half and spread on the dough. Bake the pizza in the oven for 20-25 minutes at a temperature of 200 °C. Before serving, garnish the “Margarita” with basil leaves or any other herbs.

A real Italian woman

The most delicious sandwich, according to the Italians — is a crispy bruschetta with tomatoes and basil. Tomatoes with Polpa slices from the”Tomato” product line will give a unique flavor to the snack. The selected fleshy tomatoes have already been peeled from the thin skin and cut into appetizing pieces. And thanks to the thick filling, they have become even tastier and more fragrant. All you have to do is drain the juice and put them on toasted bread.

Cut the ciabatta into thin slices, grease with olive oil, rub with a clove of garlic and brown on both sides until golden brown in a dry frying pan. Finely chop a bunch of basil, cut the zucchini, pass 3-4 cloves of garlic through the press and mix everything with 400 g of tomatoes in pieces. Harmony of taste will help to create 1 tbsp. l. balsamic vinegar, a pinch of sea salt and black pepper.

Spread the tomato filling on the golden slices of ciabatta. If desired, you can decorate them with arugula leaves or finely grated cheese. Do not forget to heat the bruschettas slightly before serving.

Each of them has a frittata

The Italian frittata is a relative of our omelet. Only bake it in the oven, so it turns out so lush and ruddy. A little imagination, and it can be turned into an exquisite festive snack. Peeled Pelati tomatoes from the”Tomato” product line will help us with this in its own juice. They will give the frittata an expressive tomato taste.

With the flat side of the knife, knead 2 cloves of garlic, put it in a frying pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, fry for a couple of minutes and immediately remove. In garlic oil, brown 200 g of finely chopped ham. At this time, beat 5-6 eggs with a pinch of salt and 100 ml of cream. Add finely chopped tomatoes and ham, add 2 tbsp. l. flour, stir well.

We lubricate the muffin molds with oil, fill the resulting mass by two-thirds and put it in the oven at 180 °C for 15-20 minutes. At the very end, you can sprinkle the muffins with grated cheese. Serve the frittata warm, so that guests can enjoy the amazing aroma.

Sparkling eggplant

If you add eggplants to tomatoes and cheese, you will get another popular snack in Italy-eggplant “alla parmeggiano”. Tomatoes in their own juice “Tomato” will become its main highlight. Selected calibrated tomatoes in a thick natural filling are ideal for making tomato sauce, without which Italians can not imagine their life.

Remove the peel from 2 eggplants, cut into plates, sprinkle with coarse salt and leave for 10 minutes, then remove the excess liquid with paper towels. We roll the plates in flour, dip them in beaten egg and fry them until golden brown on both sides. Now it’s the sauce’s turn. We put 150 g of tomatoes in their own juice, a crushed clove of garlic, a pinch of dried basil, salt and black pepper to taste in a blender bowl. Beat all the ingredients into a homogeneous mass.

We lubricate the baking dish with oil, spread half of the eggplants. Evenly fill the bottom layer with tomato sauce and sprinkle 80 g of grated parmesan and 120 g of grated mozzarella. We put the mold in the oven, preheated to 180 °C, for 35-40 minutes. The finished snack can be cut into squares and served to guests.

That’s how easily and naturally with just a few snacks you can arrange a real Italian party.
