Researchers from California collected information on more than 55 thousand men and women over the age of 30, which were observed at an average of 11 years.
All were asked how often they ate avocado. About half of the participants in the observation were regularly weighed. It turned out that the inclusion of avocado in the daily diet reduced the probability of occurrence of excess weight and obesity in the next 10 years by 15% compared to people who almost did not use this fruit.
