The best cocktails with coffee and vodka

Another week has come to its logical conclusion. And, already by tradition, catch the Friday selection, which, perhaps, will set another alcohol theme on the Rum Diary. Today I decided to bring into play a strong player in the cocktail industry, namely coffee. And since I mastered the bar craft as a barista, I will develop the coffee theme with great pleasure.

Coffee is a multifaceted drink and you can talk about it forever. Most cocktails use espresso coffee, which is quite reasonable – a chic aroma and delicate taste. Today I don’t even want to start this endless topic, so I’d better go straight to cocktails. True, I must add that the cocktails listed below will be difficult to prepare at home, since coffee machines are not in every home, but still they are. In addition to coffee, this selection also contains another constant component – vodka 🙂 In general, catch combinations of two age-old and very popular drinks all over the world.

Snufkin (shot, shake)

The cocktail was invented by mixologist Dick Bredsel in the late 90s for Karina Viklund, a Swedish golf champion. Snufkin is the best friend of Moomin Troll, a character from Tove Janson’s fairy tale. He loved to travel, smoke a pipe and play the harmonica. He also hated prohibitions, so you can’t refuse Snufkin 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 10 ml of vodka;
  • 10 ml blackberry liqueur;
  • 10 ml from espresso;
  • 10 ml cream

Preparation:

  • pour espresso, liquor and vodka into a shaker;
  • Fill shaker with ice and shake thoroughly.
  • pour the chilled drink through the strainer into a stack;
  • using a cocktail spoon, put the top layer of cream;
  • drink in one gulp.

Here is such a tandem, coffee and vodka. Now I’m thinking about which of these ingredients to dedicate the next week to (although no, coffee still attracts me more, but about that shhh …). Well, you have received information for reflection on the planning of leisure activities for the weekend, so enjoy your holiday and good mood! Moreover, tomorrow is the first day of winter – it’s time to celebrate 🙂 Bye!
