Svetlana Zeynalova showed her house: photo 2017

The TV presenter was forced to study the construction market when she ran into careless designers.

This is my second own apartment in Moscow. First, with her first husband (with Alexei Glazatov, the father of her daughter Sasha, Svetlana divorced in 2012. – Approx. “Antenna”) we lived on Ryabinova Street, not far from my parents’ house. Mom could even see out the window: whether our lights are on or not. Therefore, eight years ago, we bought the next apartment farther away, in Kurkino, on a street with a nice name Landyshevaya. We were looking for a larger house: we were waiting for an addition to the family and wanted the child to grow up in a good area and have his own room. We went to different places, argued about the infrastructure, decided what was better to take – closer to the center, but a smaller area, or further, but larger. Financial opportunities are certain, you can’t jump over your head.

I’ve never liked areas with a lot of high-rise buildings. I couldn’t live in anthills like Moscow City. But when we arrived in Kurkino, we just fell in love with the area. There is something patriarchal and humane in our residential complex, but at the same time, newfangled. In our yard you can even go out in slippers. We got the apartment in the form of a concrete box with a pillar in the middle. Plan what you want. At first I thought that the renovation would not affect me, and only downloaded pictures of the future interior. But then I quickly got involved in the process, because we were out of luck with the designers. Their ideas were strange. So they seriously suggested making a waterfall in the middle of the room to divide the area into zones. For some, such innovations may be good, but not for us, and they were rejected. We divided the room into zones, but in a different way. And they put the doors, we were offered not to do this, or to provide one mobile for the bedroom and toilet. It’s crazy for me.

Designers also messed up wherever possible. The project itself was made with a bunch of mistakes. The construction team refused to work according to their drawings, explaining that it would be impossible to live in such an apartment. Sasha was already born, and I went to shops and markets in search of building materials. Now I know everything about the types of putties, floor coverings and methods of laying them, I understand paint and insulation. I changed the bath, because the one bought by the designers did not fit. I called the firms where we ordered something, cried and asked to change. Fortunately, we were met halfway. Now I often advise friends who are doing repairs, and I warn you what you should pay attention to. These are such rounded walls as ours, I would not advise anyone to do. Terribly uncomfortable. You can’t move a single piece of furniture.

As a result, half of the ideas remained from the designers’ project, the rest is my creativity. Of course, in the end, the layout and style are lame somewhere, but this is my first experience, and it turned out to be somewhat spontaneous. But, despite the fact that the renovation was difficult and took a lot of nerves, I love him and love my apartment. I can’t even imagine that I will live in another. I get used to it very quickly. And I don’t want to change anything yet. And yes, then our parrots cling to the wallpaper, then the dog scratches the walls, and although I get upset, I understand: this is life and you just need to ignore such things. Although Dima (the current common-law husband of the TV presenter. – Approx. “Antenna”) says that it is easier to move to another house than to do something about it.

… But Sasha has big changes this year. For two years she went to school near the Belorusskaya metro station, one of the oldest in Moscow with inclusive classes (Svetlana’s 8-year-old daughter is autistic. – Woman’s Day), but spending an hour and a half in one direction for a child is hard. We amused ourselves by solving examples in mathematics on the way, but Sanya often fell asleep under them. This year, Olga Yaroslavskaya, director of school no. 1298, which is not far from us, on her own initiative decided to open a resource class for children with special needs. Sasha will go to study there. Although, of course, she wants more to relax at sea and play on the tablet. She also needs to be forced to learn, like most children. But nevertheless, her schedule is quite tight: gymnastics, singing, swimming, classes with defectologists, we are also going to an art circle, because she draws and sings well. Now she will have more time for classes, ten minutes by car to school. We are very worried, but I hope she will be comfortable in the new class. Sasha is an addicted person. In early childhood, she had smeshariki, then ponies, now Lego. When she realized that it was possible to collect incredible things according to schemes, she was ready to do it for hours. We bought up all the sets available in our stores, our friends give us this constructor, we order from America and Singapore series that are not sold in Russia, we keep all of them and are not ready to part with any of them. Sasha has a good ear for music, unlike me, she sings beautifully. When I realized that she needed to make music, we bought a synthesizer. She played on it for a year. And then Dima suddenly became interested in music, the composer Ludovico Einaudi made an indelible impression on him. When our dad realized the difference in the sound of a synthesizer and a piano, he got the idea to learn how to play. We decided to splurge on an electronic piano. It is comfortable with him, you can sit behind him at least at night – you don’t interfere with the neighbors, the sound is in the headphones. Dima found scores on the Internet, where not only notes are shown, but also the position of the hands. Now he looks at them and tries to play. As a child, I myself studied for four years in the music school on the piano and for five years on the guitar, but I was kicked out of the piano class for mediocrity. Now I’m sitting with Sasha, trying, maybe someday I’ll learn.

The kitchen turned out to be made obliquely, as I wanted. It is of Russian production, I found it myself. The kitchen is cleverly arranged; a pantry is hidden behind one of the doors. You can hide anything there, from a sack of potatoes to a washing machine, even dry linen there. We used to have a couple of lovebird parrots. They often fought and multiplied without stopping. It was constantly necessary to attach chicks. Once we left the birds to our parents, and they flew away. Now we have two cockatiel parrots. They are almost tame, very emotional, psychologically subtle, they can get bored, scared, they need to fly around the apartment, otherwise they start to wither. Their names are Jean and Marie, although I just call them hens. So I ask: “Did you give the smokers food today?” The female also constantly lays eggs, but the parrots are still young and do not understand that they need to hatch, they throw eggs anywhere.

Sanya has her own room, she has a large bed with a comfortable mattress, but she often falls asleep on ours. It will spread out like an asterisk or lie across, our dad will take a nap next to him, and the dog will settle down at his feet. There is very little room for one more person. You lie down, suffer, and someone is the first to go either to Sasha’s bed or to the sofa to sleep.

We thought for a long time whether we should take a dog. Sanya communication is very useful, but our dad is allergic to dog hair, although not all. Therefore, we chose the breed for a long time, and gave the wool for analysis, and first came to look at the puppies in the nursery. Sasha, seeing one of the puppies, rushed to him shouting: “My dog!” – and immediately fell into an autumn puddle. A month later, we returned for the puppy, spitting on allergies, because it is impossible to live without a dog. According to her passport, her name is Joy of Istra, but we call her simply Ria.

These pictures were presented to me at the show “Voice. Children ”talented girl Katya with cerebral palsy. She came there as a guest with her parents. Now the paintings are waiting for us to drill holes for them and finally hang them. It’s hard to persuade our dad to hammer a nail into the wall, but otherwise he’s just handsome. In a man, the ability to drill is not the most important thing. Dima, of course, can do it, but he is lazy, and you need to find the right words or squeeze your knee in the corner, but I understand that he gets tired, and drilling is not the most interesting thing that he can do on the weekend. But he is our captain (although Dmitry is a marketer by his main profession. – Approx. Woman’s Day) and has sailed with his friends more than once.
