SPA at home: therapeutic baths with herbs and oils

For a modern woman with a constant lack of time, a therapeutic and prophylactic bath is really a dream. It doesn’t take much to make this dream come true. It is enough to have a small supply of medicinal raw materials, collected on your own or bought at a pharmacy, and the time that you are willing to spend on yourself. Herbal baths are a real home spa for the body. But the inhalation of pleasant aromas immediately improves mood. You probably understand yourself: if a woman’s mood is excellent, then everything is wonderful in the family, because she is the keeper of the family hearth. The skin of every woman gives a response to taking care of her, because she is involved in the normalization of the metabolism of our body. 

The most effective herbal baths for the body, the action of which is aimed at increasing the body’s defenses after suffering viral or colds, as well as soothing and relaxing baths for stress, nervous system overstrain, after strong physical exertion. Among other things, this home spa helps to improve metabolism and lose weight, with high blood pressure, dermatitis and other skin diseases. And just, in the end, relieves melancholy and depression. 

The beautiful natural color and pleasant smell of bath infusions and decoctions without synthetic fragrances have a calming effect on the central nervous system, creating a peaceful state. This is especially useful after a busy day at work.

Place the collection components in a deep cup and mix thoroughly, then transfer to an enamel bowl and pour five liters of boiling water. Infuse for 20 minutes or boil for 10 minutes on low heat. After that, carefully strain the infusion through a double layer of gauze and pour into a bath filled with cold water so that no steam forms in the room. Take a bath for 10-15 minutes after a hygienic shower. Do not use soap after a therapeutic bath. The usual course of application of therapeutic baths 2-3 times a week for 15 days. During the procedure, the area of ​​uXNUMXbuXNUMXbthe heart should be above water, while placing a towel under your head. 

With nervous overexcitation, physical fatigue, hypertension, insomnia, menopausal disorders with manifestations of vegetative-vascular dystonia, decoctions from the rhizome with roots of valerian officinalis, peppermint herb, thyme and lemon balm, lavender flowers and chamomile are perfect as therapeutic and prophylactic baths . 

In order to increase the desired effect of a therapeutic bath, add 2-3 drops of essential oil to ready-made infusions. For example, add thyme, lavender, tea tree, vanilla, or peppermint essential oils to enhance the soothing effect. For tonic – essential oil of rosemary, lemongrass, citrus, sage, cinnamon or cedar.

Rose petals for real ladies 

I think many will agree with me that a real intoxicating dream of a woman is a rose petal bath. Rose petals in the bathroom are not only pleasing to the eye, but also extremely beneficial for the skin of the body – they give it tenderness, elasticity and a wonderful aroma that will remain on your body for a long time. Since this pleasure is not cheap, you can make a phyto-collection consisting of rose petals and chamomile flowers in any ratio.

Also, to enhance the action and aroma, add 3 drops of rose essential oil directly to the finished bath. How often in life we ​​need to make important decisions, throwing negative emotions aside, such a bath will just help to do this. According to the teachings of aromatherapy, rose essential oil gives energy to self-improvement, enhances goodwill towards others, helps to make the right decision, clarifying thoughts and relieving stress, anger, resentment and jealousy.

With venous insufficiency and diseases such as thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, varicose ulcers, hemorrhoids, take baths, which include fruits or seeds of horse chestnut, horsetail grass, red clover grass. 

For rheumatic diseases, joint pains, muscle pains, rosemary leaves, sage leaves, wild rosemary shoots in a small amount as part of the collection are suitable, since rosemary is a poisonous plant, but very effective for arthritis and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by coughing. Sore joints can be rubbed with an infusion of wild rosemary shoots. For a bath, take 3 tablespoons of rosemary shoots, burdock roots, lingonberry leaves, prepare a decoction and add to a bath of water, take a bath in the same way.

Also, with arthritis, gout, muscle pain and neuralgia, a compress on sore spots from a decoction of chamomile flowers and elderberry flowers helps. Optionally, you can make foot and hand baths from the presented collections.
