Due to the pandemic, all major Hollywood releases have “moved” from 2020 to 2021, and cinemas are waiting for unprecedented abundance — unless, of course, they are closed again. We have selected the most spectacular films that should be watched on the big screen and preferably with the whole family.
«The Little Humpbacked Horse»

Everyone knows Pyotr Ershov’s fairy tale about Ivan the Fool and his faithful magic Humpbacked Horse. The most famous Russian producer Sergei Selyanov, who gave the franchise about the Three Heroes, has been working on a large-scale adaptation of the work of the Russian classic for the past few years.
Spectators are waiting for a new version of a magnificent fairy tale, the triumph of kindness and love. The trailer is impressive — there is a fiery Firebird, and flights over a fairy-tale land, and a charming horse, voiced by Pavel Derevyanko. And not only voiced, but also «gave» him his facial expressions with the help of 3D technologies.
Today there are two old Soviet cartoons based on the work of Yershov, 1947 and 1975. Both are unconditional masterpieces, but still time takes its toll and the old fairy tale needs a modern adaptation. What happened — we will see very soon in cinemas. A great chance to introduce children to the classics of Russian literature.

Everyone knows the sad story of a dog named Hachiko, and everyone wept over the Richard Gere movie of the same name (if not, you can watch it with handkerchiefs). But loyal dogs live not only in the USA and Japan. The history of the German Shepherd Palma, which became known throughout the USSR, is no less dramatic. Of course, the story of the cinematic shepherd dog differs from the events that really took place, but the loyalty of a four-legged friend and human, albeit involuntary, betrayal are the same here.
So, the owner of Palma flew abroad in 1977, and the shepherd dog remained waiting for him at the airport, and so it remained there for two long years. There, she met the 9-year-old son of the dispatcher, whose mother died (here he goes to work with his dad). The boy and the dog begin to be friends, but suddenly the news comes about the return of the first owner … That’s where it’s time to cry!
A very relevant movie about not leaving your pets, as many irresponsible people do today. And in general, you can’t leave someone who depends on you and your decisions.
«Black Widow»

Perhaps the most anticipated blockbuster from the Disney studio, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Due to the pandemic, its premiere was postponed for a year, but now there is hope that May 6 is the final date of the premiere.
Black Widow, aka Natasha Romanoff, is a super spy and part of the Avengers team. She died during a showdown with Thanos, so we have before us the story of her past, when she was still working for the USSR, and not alone, but together with the whole family.
Until now, we knew very little about her, so there are many discoveries in store for the fans. As well as chases, enchanting special effects, corporate humor and action. Even if you don’t know who Iron Man and Captain America are, ask the kids and be sure to go to the movies with them. Moreover, this is the first solo film of the Marvel Studios, where the main character is a woman. How to miss this?
«Suicide Squad: Drop Mission»

The first part about the adventures of the supervillain team from the DC Universe (they are responsible for Batman and the Joker) turned out to be spectacular, but drawn out. In the second part, the studio decided to bet on humor, as well as the irresistible charm of Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn, the Joker’s crazy girlfriend.
Nothing is known about the plot, but the presence of the main Hollywood prankster Taika Waititi and director James Gunn, who was responsible for the most «carbon» Marvel films (the Guardians of the Galaxy cycle), promises an incredibly killer story. And there, after all, the powerful old man Stallone wormed his way!
In a word, put on a schedule and stock up on popcorn. It will be wow!
«Major Grom: The Plague Doctor»

If you think that only Hollywood makes films based on comics, then you are deeply mistaken. There are also Russian comics that are just asking for the screen, for example, a cycle about the fearless policeman Major Grom.
A short film about Grom was released in 2017, and its task was to present our domestic superhero. There, Grom was played by Alexander Gorbatov, who was replaced by Tikhon Zhiznevsky in the full meter.
The short film has collected more than 2 million views on Youtube, and the authors decided: there will be a full meter. The expectation rating on Kinopoisk for Thunder is 92%, which is not possible for every Hollywood big film. So wait for our answer to Chamberlain, that is, Captain America, in all the cinemas of the country.

A gloomy, ominous story about a gloomy vampire performed by Jared Leto does not pull on a family movie — horror and thriller, these are the genres he represents. But adults have something to rejoice at. It’s been a while since we’ve had good quality horror movies, and the vampire theme is always fascinating. Moreover, Jared Leto himself plays, and no one will cut out the scenes with his participation, as was the case with the role of the Joker.

Especially since it was supposed to come out in 2020.
