Pragmatic know-how: edible Christmas trees

For the second year in a row, the inhabitants of Britain have been enjoying wonderful Christmas trees that are environmentally friendly and very fragrant.

These fragrant Christmas trees appeared in the Waitrose supermarket chain last year and were a huge success. In fact, these are rosemary bushes, skillfully trimmed to the classic herringbone shape. Despite their modest height – about 30 cm or about a third of the average tree – these edible, mini-trees spread a wonderful scent in the home.

You can choose such a tree at least out of a sense of pragmatism. After all, this whole New Year’s bush can be used to season dishes, and after the holidays, the plant can be planted in the garden.

In addition, such a tree is a good gift option. And, put in the house, it attracts the eyes of guests. Some shoppers say they put a rosemary tree in the center of the party table so guests can pick the leaves themselves and add them to their meals to taste.

By the way, rosemary is very popular with UK buyers during the holidays, making it one of the three best-selling gingerbread plants, the sale of which during the holiday season increases by 200% compared to the rest of the year.

American trend

The rosemary Christmas tree trend started in America where sales are now comparable to regular Christmas trees. The needle-like leaves make this plant an ideal alternative for the holidays.
