Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by gonococci (Neisseria gonorrhoeae). Gonococci affect the urethra, testicles, cervix, rectum, nasopharynx, tonsils or eyes, in advanced cases – the entire body. Basically, the causative agent of the disease is transmitted sexually, in rare cases – through household items of personal hygiene. On average, the incubation period for infection with gonorrhea lasts from one day to a month – it all depends on the method of infection, the characteristics of the immune system and the patient’s body.

Consequences of gonorrhea

male and female infertility, sexual disorders (impotence) in men, infection of newborns during the passage of the birth canal, severe systemic lesions of the respiratory, nervous, cardiovascular systems, joints, gonococcal sepsis may develop.

Varieties of gonorrhea

by the age of infection: “fresh” or chronic gonorrhea; by the severity of the process: acute, torpid and subacute gonorrhea; latent form of gonorrhea.

Symptoms of gonorrhea

in men: sharp pain (cramps) when urinating, profuse purulent discharge from the genitals of white or yellow color;

among women: Profuse thick or watery white, yellow or green vaginal discharge, lower abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities or completely asymptomatic.

 

Useful foods for gonorrhea

During the treatment of gonorrhea, a special diet is not used, but you should still eat foods that help strengthen the immune system, have a diuretic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect on the body:

  • berries of black currant, lingonberry, cranberry, chokeberry, chokeberry, blueberry, blackberry, goji, cherry, raspberry and strawberry, salads and natural juices from these berries;
  • greens: parsley, celery, caraway seeds, dill, garlic and green onions.
  • beets, carrots;
  • watermelon melon;
  • vegetable juices (juice of beets, carrots, fresh cucumbers, celery and parsley);
  • dried apricots;
  • tea from viburnum, rose hips;
  • natural dairy products (hard cheeses, cottage cheese, milk, natural yogurt and kefir);
  • grapes and various products from it (for example, raisins);

  • nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts and voloshes) seeds, flax seeds;
  • amrit, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, chili, black pepper, coriander, oregano, mustard, cumin;
  • mushrooms (shiitake, enoki, maitake, oyster mushroom);
  • green, white tea and oolong tea;
  • fruits: papaya, pineapple;
  • vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, spinach, eggplant, blue cabbage;
  • Whole grains (seeded bread, barley, brown rice, buckwheat, oats, lentils, beans).

Sample menu

Breakfast: oatmeal in water with berries, yogurt or green tea.

Afternoon snack: a third of a bar of dark chocolate with nuts.

Dinner: Tuna salad, whole grain bread, pasta along with seasonal fruits.

Dinner: spaghetti with natural sauce and turkey meat, salad with oranges, spinach and walnuts, apple-cranberry pie without butter.

Folk remedies for gonorrhea

When treating gonorrhea, the medicinal complex can include traditional medicines that strengthen the immune system, diuretics (which help to remove pathogens and inflammation products from the urethra), anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agents.

Among them, it should be highlighted:

  • infusion of black currant leaves (pour 2 tablespoons of raw materials with two glasses of boiling water) – use three times a day;
  • tea made from black currant berries;
  • infusion of parsley in milk (a mixture of fresh parsley with milk in a warm oven, strain, use in portions of 2 tablespoons throughout the day at intervals of an hour);
  • infusion of cornflowers flowers (one dessert spoon per glass of boiling water, insist for an hour) – use 2 tablespoons three times a day;
  • warm sessile baths of potassium permanganate (in a ratio of 1 g to 8000 g) or chamomile (one tablespoon for two cups of boiling water) – take no more than 20 minutes;
  • honey mixture (300 grams of ground walnuts, 100 grams of chopped garlic, hold for 15 minutes in a water bath, cool, add two tablespoons of ground dill fruits and 1 kg of honey) – take according to Art. spoon three times a day after meals for 2 weeks;
  • tea made from dried fruits of schisandra chinensis (half a teaspoon of ground fruit for one glass of boiling water) – take a glass of tea with a spoonful of honey twice a day;
  • pharmacy tincture of Manchurian aralia, ginseng, Rhodiola rosea, zamanihi.

Dangerous and harmful foods for gonorrhea

During the treatment of gonorrhea, you should limit the use of spicy, smoked or fatty foods, strong coffee, tea, sports or carbonated drinks, canned, packaged and frozen foods, trans fats, refined carbohydrates (for example: pasta, white rice, white flour products) , exclude alcoholic beverages.
