Muscle injuries can be prevented most of the time by practicing safe physical activity. Warming up before sport (and not stretching!) Has a major role in prevention.

Finally, if despite all these precautions you still suffered a muscle injury, you can prevent it from getting worse by applying the “GREC” technique and avoiding massages, stretching and heat.
