Loss of water: testimonies

“For my second childbirth, I arrived at the maternity ward, the midwife asked me to spread my legs to examine myself, and there, the water bag exploded in her face, she just had the time to dodge a bit! I got confused in apologies, she told me that it happened a lot and that sometimes she was wet all the way to the bra! I didn’t think it could do that. Baby arrived like an arrow, in a general laughter !!! ”

“It was in the middle of the night. When my husband got up to get dressed, I had just lost water and he said to me: “Why are you peeing on the floor”? Awesome eh !!! For the 3rd, when it was necessary to warn my mother so that she could come and look after the little ones (always in the middle of the night), my husband said to her: “Mamy, I am coming to get you, your daughter has lost her bones !!! “”

“For my first childbirth, I lose the water very slightly during the night, my husband wakes up, I have to go… I just put a small towel to avoid getting wet in view of the small flow… big mistake !!! Getting out of the car, in front of the maternity ward, I find myself in two stages with my pants and legs soaked and here I am arriving like a duck to the entrance to the maternity ward, dripping wet… The midwife welcoming us tells us: “It’s raining a lot outside !!! »A few hours later (I would say arriving on a Sunday morning at 6 am and delivery on Monday at 17 pm!), Here I am in the delivery room, the midwives and the gynecologist have been doing everything to ensure that my cervix has been working for several hours. finally expands. I am alone with the anesthesiologist who regulates the peri, and there, the delivery table breaks in two in the middle !!! Panicked, the anesthesiologist makes me put my feet in the stirrups to prevent me from falling and trying to repair somehow. The midwife who comes home throws a murderous look at the anesthesiologist: “So, we give birth without me!” There followed a long speech between the two as to whether they should call the biomedical engineer to fix it (I admit I didn’t want to see him fix the table while I had my feet up. the air !). In short, they made a makeshift repair during childbirth! ”
