Ice fish are appreciated by culinary experts for the tenderness of the meat and the special shrimp flavor that is felt in it with any cooking method. There are many recipes for a delicious icefish dish, the most popular being frying and baking in the oven.

For this recipe, take: – 0,5 kg of ice fish; – 50 g flour; – 2 tbsp. l sesame seeds; – 1 tsp. curry; – salt, black pepper, a little dried dill; – vegetable oil.

Defrost and peel icefish before cooking. If the fish is chilled, start cutting immediately. Cut the fish into portions, heat the oil in a skillet, and on a separate plate combine the flour, sesame seeds, dill and curry for a more golden hue. Sprinkle each piece of fish on all sides with breading mixture, fry in hot vegetable oil on one side, then on the other until fully cooked. The oil must boil, otherwise the flour will not crust the fish. Try not to turn the fish over more often, as its meat is very tender and from this the piece may fall apart and the crust may deform. You can also use bread crumbs instead of flour.

It is very easy to clean this type of fish, since it has no scales.

How to bake ice fish in the oven

To deliciously cook tender fish with vegetables in the oven, take:

– 0,5 kg of fish; – 0,5 kg of potatoes; – 1 head of onion; – a small bunch of dill; – 50 g of butter; – 10 g of vegetable oil for greasing the mold; – salt, black pepper, basil; – 1 clove garlic.

Line the form with parchment paper or grease with oil, put in one layer pre-peeled and chopped potatoes and onions in one layer, sprinkle them with dill. Melt the butter, mix with the garlic passed through a press. Spread this mixture evenly on the prepared and cut into portions of fish on all sides. Sprinkle the remaining oil on the potatoes and place them in a hot oven for 15 minutes at 180 ° C. Then put the fish on the potatoes and bake the dish for another 10 minutes. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil.

How to cook ice fish in a slow cooker

For this dish, take: – 0,5 kg of ice fish; – 1-2 heads of onions; – 200 g of tomatoes; – 70 g of grated hard cheese; – 120 g of not too thick sour cream; – salt, black pepper to taste.

Peel the onion and cut it into slices, place on the bottom of the multicooker bowl. Put pieces of peeled icefish on top of it, salt and pepper it. Put circles of tomatoes on the fish, sprinkle them with cheese, pour sour cream over the fish, set the stewing mode and cook the fish for an hour. If you want to slightly change the resulting taste, then before stewing, you can lightly fry the onions and the pieces of fish themselves, and only then put the tomatoes in rings on them and simmer until tender for 40 minutes.
