How to learn twine for a child

At what age can children be taught twine? The optimal range is 4-7 years. It is in this age period that the muscles are most elastic and respond well to stress.

To learn how to sit on the twine, the child needs to exercise a lot.

It is very important to spend a lot of time developing flexibility. Here’s how to train:

  • From a standing position, forward bends are performed. You need to try to reach the floor not with your fingertips, but with your open palm, and hold it in this position for 10 seconds. Repeat 7-10 times.
  • Stand sideways to the chair. One hand rests on the back of the chair, the other rests on the hip. You need to swing your legs forward and backward, trying to achieve the greatest possible amplitude. The exercise is performed on both legs, swings in each direction must be repeated at least 10 times. When doing it, you need to monitor your posture. The back should remain straight, the knees should not bend, the toe stretches up.
  • In a standing position, grasp the left heel with your left hand and try to pull it up to the buttocks as much as possible. Repeat ten times, then perform the exercise on the right leg.
  • Place your leg on a high chair or other surface so that the leg is at waist level. Lean forward, trying to reach the toe with your hands. Fix this position for a few seconds, repeat with the other leg.

Before starting to sit on the twine, you need to thoroughly warm up the muscles. Even before performing the exercises described above, a preliminary warm-up is needed – charging, running in place, jumping rope, walking in single file.

The child must descend on the twine carefully, under the supervision of an adult. Ideally, an adult stands next to him and holds him by the shoulders, slightly pressing on them. You need to go down to a slight painful sensation, but in no case to acute pain. Abrupt movements should be avoided so as not to injure the muscles. There is also a psychological aspect here – the child will be afraid of pain and will not want to continue classes.

Regular training is very important. In order for the muscles to retain their flexibility, they cannot be skipped. All exercises should be done slowly, breathing deeply and regularly.
