How to choose quality condensed milk
 

A favorite treat for children and adults, sweet and creamy, irreplaceable when preparing confectionery, and just good when you eat it with a spoon – condensed milk! What could be easier to buy a jar of condensed milk in the nearest supermarket and enjoy it at home with pleasure, but did you know that choosing the right and high-quality condensed milk has become a problem, since a lot of low-quality product has appeared on the market that is harmful to our health. Remember and use our life hacks when you go to the store.

  • Be sure to choose condensed milk in a tin can;
  • The can should not be deformed, otherwise the integrity of the coating may be violated and harmful elements that are present in the gland will get into the condensed milk;
  • The correct condensed milk label should say – DSTU 4274: 2003 – this is the GOST of our country condensed milk;
  • The shelf life of the product in a tin can should not exceed 12 months;
  • The correct name on the label looks like this – “Condensed milk with sugar” or “Whole condensed milk with sugar”;
  • Having opened condensed milk at home, evaluate it visually, good condensed milk with a thick consistency and drips from the spoon in an even strip, and does not fall in pieces or clots.
