For the gardener, as for any professional, the tool is important. At the beginning of the season, we make repairs, sharpen saws, pruning shears, trellis shears (brush cutters), shovels, hand scythes, hoes. If there is a shortage of inventory on the farm, it is important to stock up on them. The summer resident needs a bayonet shovel, weeding forks (they replace the shovel), fan rakes, simple rakes, cultivators with short and long handles, manual planting shovels and shovels, a planting peg, hoes for hilling and weeding. For those who have problems with the spine, the Fokine cultivator has proven itself well. The working part of the tool must be made of hard, durable metal, the tool must have strong handles made of quality wood, lightweight plastic or metal. In addition to hand tools, small mechanization is also needed: a garden wheelbarrow, a lawn mower (self-propelled, preferably with a grass collector), a petrol or electric trimmer (brushcutter). If your garden is with hedges, you will need a hedge trimmer. Pay attention to specifications and warranty periods. A cheap tool is usually “disposable”. Fall in love with yourself – buy a quality pruner, a garden saw, a manual lopper, and an ax of a trusted company. It’s easy and pleasant to work with a good tool. In this case, gardening will replace fitness training.

If you have a desire to relax more in the garden, pay attention to garden gadgets – for example, a humidity level sensor (it gives a signal when the plant needs to be watered), a window-garden and a smart pot that will grow your crop using sensors and software. …

There is also a digital watering can, which uses a smartphone app to control a smart controller and water your crops while on vacation. There are also garden sensors that give an estimate of humidity, temperature, amount of fertilizer, and illumination. These smart systems not only send data via Wi-Fi, but are also capable of advising on cultivation and fertilization. There have appeared automatic irrigation systems, insect and rodent repellents on solar panels, the maximum range of which reaches 2000 m, they are especially necessary to protect the English lawn from moles. But before you buy a fancy gadget for the garden, think about how necessary it is and whether you can easily manage it. After all, for example, an ultra-modern solar-powered lawnmower, similar to a robot vacuum cleaner, sometimes brings more inconvenience than benefit – it requires a perfectly flat surface of the site and a certain height of grass. And “breaking free”, such a mower can mow not only grass, but also nearby beds.
