The main rule for a person who has decided to practice a healthy diet is to understand that this is not a diet. And if we really observe it, then only on an ongoing basis. There should be no time limits, no specific period – for a week, for a month, etc., should not be. We can say that healthy eating is a lifestyle and must be observed at all times.

Often, thoughts about healthy eating come when a person decides to consciously engage in sports training. In order to fully engage in sports without harming the body, a healthy diet is simply necessary. Proper nutrition allows you to maintain the necessary balance of the body and does not affect the change in body weight in one direction or another. In addition, proper nutrition allows you to stay in good physical shape and lead an active lifestyle. But this is provided that the person does not have certain allergic reactions, or certain diseases. Otherwise, it would be best to change the proper diet to a healthy one, and choose a diet in accordance with the characteristics of the body.

 

So, where to start? It is impossible to immediately abandon the usual diet, as this can be negatively perceived by the human body, and have undesirable consequences for health. You need to start gradually. To begin with, review your diet, exclude particularly harmful foods or reduce them to a minimum if you cannot immediately refuse them. These include sweets, chocolate, spirits, beer, canned fruits and vegetables, and spicy and salty foods. Much from the list can be perfectly replaced – for example, instead of sweets, use honey and sweet years and fruits, replace fried food with stewed or steamed. Perhaps at first it will be somewhat unaccustomed, but with a strong desire, soon you will not want to return to the diet that was before.

Another important rule of proper nutrition – eat less, but more often. Experts advise to consume at one meal an amount equal to that which fits in a person’s fist. Little? Yes, but if such portions are consumed not three times a day, but somewhat more often, the feeling of hunger will not exhaust the body, and the load on it will be much less, as a result, and the food will be better absorbed. Overeating is unacceptable with a healthy diet.

Very often, newcomers to proper nutrition make several mistakes, this comes from a misunderstanding of the approach to healthy eating. Avoiding fat, drinking too much juices, and occasional malnutrition are common mistakes. We mentioned malnutrition a little above, it is not acceptable. Fats are quite useful substances for the body, and in moderate quantities they do not lead to weight gain, but, on the contrary, saturate the body with the necessary substances. Besides, without them it is impossible to “build” anabolic hormones. And when using juices, you need to be very careful, since, in addition to the fact that they contain a large amount of vitamins, they are also quite high in calories. Also, excessive consumption of juices can lead to a rise in the amount of sugar in the blood.
