Grandma’s forgotten wedding gift revealed the secret of love to spouses

How to save a relationship? A couple from Michigan now knows the answer for sure. It was given to them by their grandmother on their wedding day. It turns out that being together is not so difficult. A relaxing bath, pizza and flowers will help us.

Kathy and Brandon Gunn from the US state of Michigan, after many years of marriage, discovered an unopened wedding gift.

A small paper package was given to them by Alison, Katie’s great aunt, on their wedding day in 2007. On it was written: «Do not open until the first quarrel.» And until now, he lay unopened and forgotten, although the couple managed to quarrel many times. Unwrapping the gift, the couple discovered the secret to saving their marriage, which surprised and touched them a lot. One piece of advice was directed to Katie, the other to Brandon.

The note to Kathy read: “Get some pizza, shrimp, or whatever you both like. And fill a bath for yourself.» The note to Brandon contained the following instructions: «Buy some flowers and a bottle of wine.» For many years the gift lay on the shelf, covered with dust, but it kept the secret of understanding, acceptance and patience.

What does it take to live together happily ever after? Aunt Alison knew the answer to that question. Now we know it too. After a fight, pause, and then look at yourself from the side, admit that you were wrong too, show that you still love each other. To do this, you need quite a bit — pizza, a bottle of wine, flowers and sincere concern for your partner.
