France proposes to equip restaurants with transparent capsules

As in many countries, in France, the easing of quarantine involves the opening of bars and restaurants. At the same time, social distance remains important.

Therefore, the Parisian designer Christophe Guernigon developed lightweight visors made of transparent plastic, which he called Plex’Eat.

“Now it is better to present alternative, thoughtful, elegant and aesthetic solutions that will guarantee the rules of social distancing,” – said Christophe about his invention.

Like pendant lights, Plex’Eat devices surround everyone’s upper body so you can enjoy your meal with friends without worrying about the virus spreading. Protective capsules can be positioned in accordance with the places around the tables. Their creator is confident that such a solution will allow restaurant and bar owners to optimize space, and customers can safely dine in a group. Moreover, the design is thought out so that customers can easily enter and exit the dome.

So far, the solution is just a creative concept, production has not yet started.

Let us remind you that earlier we told why mannequins would be planted in a restaurant next to living people, as well as how the issue of social distance in Spanish restaurants is solved.
