Find yourself a workout partner

And make an agreement. Working together is motivating, and the excuses with which you usually comfort yourself will not satisfy your partner. An ancient rule – it is easier for two to master the road: if one falls, the other will support.

Determine your class

Do not set yourself up to “work out when I have time,” this is a dead-end path. Have an accurate schedule and stick to it. For example, 3 lessons per week. Optimally – every other day. Make sure your partner is comfortable with the schedule.

 

Set realistic goals

There will be no result without a goal. But in order to avoid disappointment, do not immediately aim at “William of our Shakespeare” if, figuratively speaking, you are still a newcomer to the theater. Breaking Abebe Bikila’s marathon record or losing 20 kg of excess weight in a month is an equally unrealistic goal. There will be sheer disappointment and an irresistible desire to give up everything. Another thing is to improve your own, albeit modest, result, or, say, lose weight by a couple of kilograms in a month.

Place bets

A bet made with a partner motivates well. Who will lose more weight, run faster, swim, move into clothes one size smaller … People are capable of a lot in excitement.

Do not practice “through I can not”

It is necessary that fitness brings joy, and does not become hard labor. The loads should be feasible.

Pamper yourself

For every achievement you need to praise and reward yourself. Lasted the first week? Great – as a gift for ourselves, we fill ourselves up in a spa, for a massage or in some other way we delight ourselves. Necessarily!

Read success stories

After all, not only a bad example is contagious. Stories from the “I did it” series give a great uplifting effect. Avoid discussing the topic with losers and lazy people who once again gave up everything. There are a lot of people around who decided – and got their own way.
