And at the same time, a well-made piece of outerwear made of good material perfectly protects against cold, wind and precipitation. Therefore, you can wear it not only in spring or autumn, but also at low air temperatures. But how do you choose the right model? This is the question we asked the stylists, who helped to collect different options for fashionable women’s coats 2022–2023 and answered questions about care, and what it should still be combined with.
Women’s coat for spring
It is better to choose those models that are made of natural fabric. For a warm spring, it is worth picking up a cashmere and wool coat. They retain heat well, while outerwear is quite soft to the touch. In the spring, you can combine a coat with sneakers or high-soled sneakers. If this is a more classic option, then with semi-boots.
Women’s winter coat
For winter, you should choose a woolen or half-woolen coat: do not be afraid that it will be uncomfortable to wear. Now manufacturers are working on fabrics so that it is warm in outerwear, and most importantly, it does not prick and does not restrict movement. – A coat should decorate you, and since we have, in principle, less outerwear than, for example, T-shirts, I always urge you to pay attention to boring colors, interesting prints, and original cut solutions. So in the autumn-winter 2022-2023 season, coats in bright colors will be especially fashionable. If you are not yet ready to stand out, take a look at the unusual finishes of the lapels and cuffs, printed linings. Often, when choosing a coat, girls are repelled by the presence of a hood. In fact, this is not only a practical element of outerwear. This type of coat will look good with both sporty and more classic looks. Brands are trying to make things universal, so hoods are looking more and more cute now.
Women’s coat with fur
Fur trim on the coat does not have to be natural. The trend is eco-fur, which, in terms of its characteristics and appearance, is not inferior to ordinary animal fur. It is made from synthetic or natural pile, and then dyed in various colors. It warms well, and in combination with a classic coat it looks very nice.
Long women’s coat
It is worth choosing a long coat for both girls with short and girls with high growth. The main thing is to correctly place the accents. High over the knee boots are suitable for a short skirt, and boots with a flat sole or a small platform are suitable for jeans. A slightly lighter option is cashmere. Less suitable for harsh conditions and cold weather – velor and velvet: a coat made of these materials will be a good option for a warm autumn. You can also pay attention to leather or suede, the main thing is to choose a quality product.
The type of figure also matters when choosing outerwear. Almost all models are suitable for girls with an hourglass figure, but when choosing, it is better to focus on the waistline. For example, pick up a coat with a belt. The length is also important: a classic coat with large knee-length buttons will suit tall girls. A double-breasted one will look advantageous on both short and medium-sized girls. A calmer color – beige, gray or black, or with bright inserts, fur, khaki coats: it’s all up to you. Do not forget that a coat in a neutral shade is considered more versatile than the same piece of clothing in an unusual color. Checkered coats, light in color, long and those made of plush, still do not go out of fashion.
Another important point: if you choose a coat for a cold winter, do not forget about the lining. It is better if it is made of viscose, and in insulated coats – from a two-layer fabric. Not bad as a lining and satin, but the cost of such a coat will be many times higher: after all, this material is quite expensive.
