Types of fainting:

  1. 1 orthostatic – begins with a sharp change in body position (for example, a person abruptly stood up or sat down, turned);
  2. 2 ceremonial – named because of the main reason for the onset of fainting (occurs due to prolonged standing without movement (especially in hot weather), which leads to a drop in blood pressure due to stagnation of blood in the veins of the legs);
  3. 3 vasavagal (sudden) – a person is in a sitting or standing position, turns pale, the pulse becomes slow and consciousness is lost;
  4. 4 gradual – the fainting state comes gradually, with the presence of all previous symptoms, the most common causes of such fainting are: a decrease in the content of sugar (hypoglycemia) or carbon dioxide (hypocapnia – its symptoms are manifested in the form of a feeling of a squeezed chest and tingling of the limbs of the hands) in the blood;
  5. 5 hysterical (not true) – the patient looks no different from a person who has lost consciousness, but there are no symptoms of fainting (blood pressure is normal, heartbeat is even, there is no sweating and pallor).

The causes of fainting conditions:

Traditional medicine for fainting

The first step is to place the unconscious person on a hard, hard surface on his back. So that he does not choke, it is necessary to turn his head to one side or get his tongue out (he can suffocate with it due to the relaxation of all the muscles of the body). If it is not possible to lay the patient down, you need to sit him down and tilt the body as far forward as possible – so that the knees touch the shoulders. If possible, sniff a soaked cotton pad in ammonia or sprinkle cold water on your chest and face.

If the loss of consciousness happened in a stuffy, crowded room, it is necessary to open the windows. To make it easier for a person to breathe, you need to unfasten the belt or the last buttons of a shirt or blouse, untie a tie. To bring a person to consciousness, you can rub the earlobes, temples, rub the limbs and chest.

In case of any loss of consciousness, it is imperative to visit a doctor (he will prescribe the necessary studies and tests, identify the cause and tell you how to proceed). In most cases, fainting does not cause danger in young people (with the exclusion of anemia, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and so on) and it will be enough just to have a good rest.

In older people, fainting can be a harbinger of a stroke or heart attack.

To raise the tone of the victim and strengthen the body, it is necessary to drink decoctions of linden, chamomile, gentian, burdock, St. John’s wort, lemon balm in the form of tea.

Lettuce can be used instead of ammonia.
