Can I brew coffee in a pot?

Making coffee in a saucepan is not difficult. With all the variety of different recipes, there are general rules that must be followed when cooking. Traditionally, it is recommended to use 200 tablespoon of coffee to get 1 ml of a drink. You can increase or decrease the rate to obtain the desired strength and richness. You can prepare a larger volume for several people at once or to pour it into a thermos. But it is impossible to warm up a pre-prepared drink – its taste is significantly deteriorated.

For cooking in a saucepan, it is better to use coarse coffee. This makes it easier to control the formation of coffee grounds. The pot must be prepared: warm it up on the stove and pour over boiling water, or bring the water to a boil in it. You should not bring the coffee to a boil. After the appearance of the “frothy head” the pan is removed from the heat, covered with a lid and left for a few minutes.
