This winter, the weather in Russia is incredibly changeable. And such a “cocktail” of frost and warming cannot but affect the state of health. And if you are a meteorological person, in the near future you should follow simple rules.

Whoever said anything, but this winter is very different from the previous ones! In all regions of the country, the temperature is constantly jumping. During the day it can be only -5 degrees, and at night – and all -30.

Of course, in many parts of our country, this state of affairs is no stranger. However, in some cities the situation is more unusual and acute as never before.

So, while in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, utilities are struggling to cope with the incessant snow, which literally stopped the usual life in cities, abnormal cold weather came even to Sochi and Crimea, where flowers have already bloomed!

Alas, meteorologists warn: the strangeness of the weather will have to endure for some time. For example, on holidays in some cities the temperature will “jump” even more than before: and the bar of atmospheric pressure will go down and up. Such sharp fluctuations are called “baric saws” – and have a whole bunch of consequences.

It would seem that if possible, just sit out the frosts at home, all problems are swept aside. But do not forget about the main scourge of the 21st century – meteorological dependence, when any change in the weather turns into weakness, headaches, nausea and pressure surges.

It is believed that meteorological dependence is found only among urban residents.

“This is due to the reaction of blood vessels to weather changes. And not so much with the cold as such, but with a decrease in physical activity and weight gain, which are also typical for winter, ”explains the general practitioner of the European Medical Center Anna Kulinkovich.

“I would say that this is also a consequence of the high level of comfort and, at the same time, the rather intense pace of life of the city dweller. Therefore, any changes in the weather, even the direction of the wind, can cause certain disturbances in the body, ”adds the cardiologist Alexey Laptev.

In order to safely survive the baric saw in the presence of problems with pressure and meteosensitivity, you should follow simple rules that should stabilize your well-being.

So, doctors advise to strenuously monitor your blood pressure and regularly take exactly those drugs that the specialist prescribed for you.

“I also recommend for such natural anomalies to use products containing magnesium, which improves energy metabolism in the body and helps to better endure the vagaries of the weather. There is also an opinion that taking medications with melatonin, a hormone responsible for the body’s biorhythms, can be effective, ”Laptev said.

In addition, during the “baric saw” period, experts advise to move more – even if it seems that you have no strength at all for this.

“Normal aerobic activity will be enough: walking or Nordic walking, any kind of active sport that helps to normalize blood pressure and thus better cope with changes in weather conditions,” says the cardiologist.

In order to minimize the negative manifestations of meteorological dependence, it is worth introducing some restrictions into your diet. Start by reducing your salt intake, which has a strong effect on blood pressure.

“If you feel so bad that it comes to dizziness and nausea, you should drink warm strong tea or coffee with sugar during such attacks,” Anna Kulinkovich recommends.
