Balcony decor idea: photo

On the balcony we store old things, building materials, bicycles, skis. But any, even the smallest balcony can become a real green oasis or a place to relax with friends. How? Sharing ideas. Our consultant is Elena Miklina, designer of the Welcome Home program on the TV Center channel.

If your balcony is not glazed, this is not a problem, but a plus for those who like to sunbathe. It is easy to turn such a balcony into a private beach.

Walls can be refined with siding – plastic wall panels. They are cheap, easy to attach and do not deteriorate from heat and moisture. Make your balcony bright. Take a closer look at coral, turquoise, light green colors.

Don’t want to change the color scheme? Decorate the walls with stones and shells brought from the sea. Glue them in the form of a mosaic, collect them in a starfish, scatter them in bulk. You can fantasize endlessly.

Flowers on an open balcony can be not only a decoration, but also a hedge. Want to hide from prying eyes? Arrange evergreen thuja and cypress trees in tubs on the sides of the balcony. So much for the Mediterranean landscape and protection from prying eyes.

Furniture for an unglazed balcony, choose an easy-to-clean one that is not afraid of rain and sun. Plastic products are best suited. Buy a convertible sun lounger or folding garden chairs, a low table and your private beach is ready!

Don’t like plastic? Then give preference to cozy artificial rattan furniture. It looks no worse than natural wickerwork, but it lasts much longer. If space permits, purchase a chaise longue couch. During the day, you can sunbathe on it, and in the evening, throwing on a warm blanket, read your favorite book.

Don’t want to insulate your balcony? Do not need. The cold, but closed balcony also has plenty of room to turn around.

Lighting can transform any place in the apartment. A dull light bulb will not decorate a balcony. But if you sew up the ceiling with plasterboard and build literally a couple of small lamps into it, you will enjoy the soft chamber light.

You can get down to business even more creatively: buy a garland of solid light bulbs framed in flowers or balls, roll it up in the shape of a bunch of grapes and hang it in the corner of the balcony.

Tables and chairs made of solid wood on a small balcony visually burden the space. To prevent this from happening, take a closer look at the multi-colored plastic furniture. Take note of the pieces by French designer Philippe Starck. His furniture comes in a variety of colors and textures. It doesn’t even look like plastic. Many manufacturers have followed the example of Stark, so finding a cheaper alternative is not difficult. Such furniture, due to its transparency, seems to dissolve in space.

Miniature fountain, framed in a marble composition in the form of a flower bed or a stone slide, it will look great surrounded by your flowers. Such a detail will not only refresh the interior of any, even the most boring balcony, but also humidify the dry summer air.

You can arrange anything on the insulated balcony. For example, a tea room for evening gatherings.

Windows decorate with bright burgundy plain velvet curtains or make your own curtains from a light fabric covered with Turkish cucumbers.

Low wooden bench with a storage system, it will be an excellent alternative to chairs, and many more guests can sit on it.

Flat decorative pillows in oriental style – burgundy, green, turquoise or with the same “cucumber” ornament – they will not only decorate the bench, but make it soft and comfortable. In addition, these pillows can easily fit inside it.

Low tea table in the center of the balcony will serve as a place for you to serve.

Narrow mattress will replace all the furniture for you if the balcony is very warm. Just throw an oriental blanket over it and you’re done.
