General description of the disease

 

Atrophy is a gradual decrease in the size and volume of tissues or organs until their complete cessation of functioning over time, if no measures and treatment methods are taken.

Types of atrophy:

  1. 1 general (cachexia – depletion of the body) and local (arises from various injuries and injuries, directly in the place or organ where they were);
  2. 2 physiological (depending on what has undergone atrophy during aging, for example: atrophy of the optic nerve, gonads, muscle tissue, skin, bones) and pathological (begins due to various malfunctions in the body, often this is associated with the thymus gland in adolescents ).

Causes of atrophy:

  • genetic predisposition to premature aging;
  • advanced and old age;
  • poor physiological development;
  • poor blood supply;
  • metabolic problems;
  • starvation;
  • the intake of vitamins and minerals in the body in small quantities, which is not enough for the normal physical activity of a person;
  • disturbed material exchange;
  • trauma, damage, stretching, due to which the process of entering the tissues and cells of nutrients is disrupted;
  • bone fractures;
  • constant pressure on tissues and organs;
  • sometimes, the presence of diseases of a chronic, parasitic and infectious nature.

General symptoms of atrophy:

  1. 1 a sharp decrease in body weight;
  2. 2 lack of subcutaneous fat;
  3. 3 dry, loose skin;
  4. 4 the size of the internal organs is noticeably smaller, their surface can be granular;
  5. 5 have osteoporosis;
  6. 6 a weakened immune system;
  7. 7 vision problems with optic nerve atrophy;
  8. 8 the integrity of the tissue is compromised if pressure is the cause of the atrophy.

Atrophy can manifest itself in different ways, it all depends on the form, type and course of the disease (for example, with atrophy of the stomach, bad breath appears, pain in the stomach, constant burning sensation, a feeling of fullness, heaviness in the abdomen, belching, problems with stools).

Useful foods for atrophy

To maintain and strengthen the tissues and cells of the body, it is necessary to eat alkalizing foods, foods with protein, vitamins A, D, B6 and B12. The patient needs to eat:

  • dairy products: milk (only fresh, in no case boiled and pasteurized), sour cream, cream, cottage cheese, butter, Dutch and processed cheeses;
  • eggs (preferably chicken);
  • fish and seafood: sea bass, mackerel, tuna, sardines;
  • beef and pork, chicken, octopus and crab, rabbit, ram, liver;
  • nuts and seeds: pine, walnuts, hazelnuts, flax seeds;
  • vegetables: sweet pepper (Bulgarian), broccoli, cabbage, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkin, carrots, lettuce, beets, cucumbers (only fresh);
  • porridge cooked in water: millet, oatmeal, buckwheat, barley, rice, couscous;
  • legumes and cereals;
  • mushrooms;
  • a large amount of fresh fruits, fruits and berries: pomegranate, sea buckthorn, apples, viburnum, bananas, strawberries, apricots, oranges, grapes, melons, cranberries, papayas, peaches, lemons, currants, avocados, cherries;
  • natural spices and seasonings: horseradish, garlic and onions (onions), celery;
  • greens: parsley, spinach.

Traditional medicine for atrophy

For each type of atrophy, it is necessary to apply specific recipes of traditional medicine:

 
  1. 1 With atrophy of the gastric mucosa, it is useful to drink decoctions of potatoes and cabbage.
  2. 2 With brain atrophy, it is necessary to drink an infusion made from nettle, motherwort, oregano, horsetail in equal proportions. You need to brew like ordinary tea, drink a cup three times a day. Also, rye and starfish help well. The infusion of them can be drunk indefinitely, but always before meals. These herbs help improve blood flow to the brain, which improves brain function. The fruits of barberry, rose hips and viburnum have similar abilities. Berries should be steamed in a thermos for 8 hours, then taken instead of tea. You can add honey.
  3. 3 With atrophy of the optic nerve, it is necessary to drink infusions of calendula flowers, mallow, peppermint, ginger root, buckwheat flowers, naked licorice, lemon balm, chamomile, blue cornflower, dill seeds. To achieve a positive effect, you need to eat 20 grams of mummy for 0,2 days at lunchtime, before eating. It must be dissolved in a glass of clean filtered water. In case of inflammatory processes, you need to wipe your eyes with tea leaves. When overworked, take a break and gymnastics (at least move your eyes up and down, to the sides, blink them, massage the eyeballs).
  4. 4 With skin atrophy, you need to take baths with chamomile, calendula, a series, make compresses from them. In addition to herbal decoctions, it is useful to use various aromatic oils. They need to be rubbed into the skin with circular, massage movements.
  5. 5 With muscle atrophy, it is necessary to use traditional medicine for myopathy.

Dangerous and harmful products for atrophy

  • pickles, smoked meats, canned food;
  • alcoholic drinks and sugary soda;
  • cereals for cereals in large quantities and meat dishes in excess (they increase acidity, which negatively affects the condition of muscles, tissues and skin);
  • convenience foods and fast food.

All this food destroys the cells and tissues of the body.

Also, you should completely stop smoking and other bad habits.
