Alla Pugacheva’s housing problem

Although Pugacheva is a metropolitan little thing, at first she was not spoiled by housing conditions. And the path from a bed on a sofa in a tiny two-room apartment in the Taganka area to a fashionable six-story castle has gone a long way.

Umbrella lane (1949-1972)

That was the name of the lane before, but now it is no longer there. And he was not far from today’s Marksistskaya Street.

Here, in a small two-story wooden house, the future Prima Donna spent her childhood. Her paternal relative Valentina Petrovna Valueva, to whom Alla Borisovna is her cousin, remembers that period. Now she lives in the village of Nedashevo, Mogilev region, where the Pugachev family came from:

“Maria and her husband Pavel (great-grandmother and great-grandfather of Alla Pugacheva. – Approx.” Antenna “) had seven children: Ivan, Pavel, Valya, Fedya, Natasha, my mother Anastasia and Alla’s grandfather Mikhail. None of them remained. But many were centenarians, lived up to 90 years and more. They died on the move, did not lie in diseases. Maria’s children were born in the village of Uzgorsk, a hundred kilometers from Nedashevo. Then six of them left for Moscow, only my mother stayed at home, she got married here. After the war, my relatives and I were lost. And suddenly we receive a letter from Boris, Alla’s father: “We are safe and sound, we live in Moscow, come visit!” And I went. It was in the 54th year, I turned 19 years old. They lived near the Taganskaya metro station in a two-story wooden house on the second floor. The apartment is small – two rooms and a kitchen. Parents are in the bedroom, grandmother is in the kitchen, and Alla was sleeping on the sofa in the hall, they put a folding bed next to her. Alla was a cheerful, energetic girl, she laughed all the time. Mom taught her to play the piano. Thick red braid to the waist, freckles. Zhenya, Alla’s brother, was a smart boy, he hired an English teacher at home.

Their parents were sincere people, they took them as their own. We were going for a walk to Red Square, but I have nothing to wear. After the war, there was poverty in the village, there were no clothes. What outfits are there! And Alla’s mother, Zinaida Arkhipovna, opened the wardrobe and laid out the dresses: “Here, Valechka, try on, put on what suits you.” Gave me some. Beautiful dresses, crepe de chine, smart. And how delicious they were!

Once Alla’s father came home from work: “Well, I took tickets to the circus, let’s go! I’ll call a taxi ”. I’m from the village, from the wilderness, I’ve never been to the circus, and he’s not ours yet – French! They took me to the cinema, they showed me Moscow. We went to a dacha in the suburbs. We walked in the pine forest. Alla and Zhenya rode on a swing under the supervision of their grandmother.

Once again I ended up in Moscow in 1979. I wanted to see my niece, but it didn’t work out: “She’s on tour in Germany.” Alla’s father Boris sometimes came to our village, but Alla never. And then perestroika began. And our connection was cut off …

Here Alla married Mykolas Orbakas. Christina Orbakaite was born at this address in 1971. The maternity hospital was located not far from the house. “

St. Academician Scriabin and 4th Novokuzminskaya (1972-1974)

“We got married in 1969 and for the first three years we lived in a house at the Peasant Outpost,” the first husband told Antenna. Mykola Orbakas… – In 72, we were given an apartment on Ryazansky Prospect. Moreover, at first in this area, living space was allocated to parents, and then to us. Parents lived on the 5th floor in the house opposite, and we – on the 8th in the corner building at the address: st. Academician Scriabin and 4th Novokuzminskaya. It was very convenient – we could wave a hand to each other from the window. We lived here until 1974. When Alla married me, she took my last name and became Alla Borisovna Orbaken. In those days, it was supposed to take the name of the husband. I don’t even remember that we had any discussions: to change or not to change. Alla wanted to, but I certainly did not mind. Well, when they parted, as they say, there was a divorce and a maiden name. Moreover, on stage, Alla always performed only as Pugacheva. Only according to the documents was Orbaken. Therefore, for many, this fact went unnoticed. For me, the main thing is that my daughter bears my last name, and the rest is not important. “

St. Veshnyakovskaya (1974)

“Alla Borisovna moved to this one-room apartment after her divorce from Orbakas. Alla’s career took off in Veshnyaki: the Grand Prix of the Golden Orpheus, the first performances at the Luzhniki Stadium, the film The Woman Who Sings, and her debut album. The second husband of Pugacheva moved to this apartment in 1976 – Alexander Stefanovich… In front of the amazed neighbors, the red-haired hooligan girl turned into a pop star.

“She did not live here for long, until the early eighties. Then she moved to the center, in my opinion, and left the apartment for my brother Zhenya, – recalls Alla Borisovna’s housemate. Eugene lived here with his two sons. In 2011, he died, and the apartment was sold after some time. The neighbors say that “some rich woman” lives there now.

St. 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya (early 1980s)

Alla Borisovna received an elite housing for those, and even for the present, at the request of the Mosconcert, in which she worked. Four-room apartment on the top floor overlooking Red Square, with important political workers and artists in the neighborhood.

“It’s calm here now,” an old-timer at home told Antenna. – And at the time when Pugacheva lived, this happened! Crowds of fans roared under her windows day and night, we were not allowed to sleep. They say there have been tragic cases. One of Alla’s ardent fans decided to take a picture of her idol and climbed onto the balcony to her. And she fell from this top. The girl crashed to death. Now from the stellar composition that lived here in the early 80s, almost no one is left. Some have left, some are not alive. And Pugacheva bought the rest of the apartments in the stairwell and gave everything to Christina. I often see them here with my husband Mikhail. But there are no more fans under the windows. “

St. Earthen Shaft (since 1994)

Here Philip Kirkorov brought Alla Pugacheva after the wedding in 1994. The singer bought an apartment next to his parents. Philip had many memories associated with this house – it was to Taganka that Kirkorov moved with his family from Bulgaria. However, soon the square meters of the young family were not enough, and the couple bought several apartments in the neighborhood. In total, Pugacheva and Kirkorov became the owners of five apartments. The two-level mansion had seven rooms, a recording studio, a home theater, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a dressing room.

After the divorce in 2005, the couple decided that the apartment should rightfully go to Philip – yet he has so many memories associated with this house. However, the singer apparently also had a painful feeling of nostalgia, so Philip decided to sell the apartment where he lived with the Prima Donna. True, the process dragged on for several years.

“Someone was looking at the apartment all the time, but no one was found who would buy it,” the house security guards told Antenna.

Philip asked a lot even for star accommodation, and over time everything somehow calmed down.

“Initially, Philip wanted to raise 360 million rubles from the sale of housing. Now it is about 70 million, – says Elena Yurgeneva, realtor of Knight Frank agency. – If there is a real buyer, then Philip is ready to reduce the cost by another 15%.

Filippovsky Lane (2003-2011)

Five-room apartment with an area of 500 sq. m in an elite house in Filippovsky Lane Pugacheva was presented by a second son-in-law Ruslan Baysarov in the early 2000s. Alla wanted a penthouse on the 7th floor with a view of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. And I got it.

It was rumored that during the renovation, Pugacheva wanted to build a real fountain in the center of her living room. But in the end, she abandoned the idea, since cracks could go from an excess of humidity around the house. Problems arose with the Prima Donna during the arrangement of the renovated apartment. Pugacheva ordered exclusive Italian furniture, which the workers had to deliver to the apartment using … a crane.

When the renovation was over, the Prima Donna drove into the apartment alone: by that time she had already dispersed with Kirkorov, and the romance with Galkin was only gaining momentum. But I didn’t have to be bored with the neighbors – Ksenia Sobchak lived next to Alla, Dmitry Dibrov lived in the other wing. To complete the picture, Alla persuaded her ex-spouse, Philip, to buy an apartment here. And a couple of years later, the star company was joined by Maxim Galkin, who from his apartment in Novye Cheryomushki moved to Alla for permanent residence.

At the direction of the Prima Donna, two rooms were allocated for Galkin – a bedroom and an office. This went on for several years. The couple spent their working days in an apartment in the center of Moscow, weekends – in a Pugachev country house on Istra.

Pugacheva decided to move away from the bustle of the city back in the late 80s. I was looking for a suitable place for a long time and eventually stopped at the village of Malye Berezhki on the Istra reservoir. Friends were perplexed: 60 km from Moskva, a busy direction, life can be spent in traffic jams.

“There is a stunning view here,” Alla Borisovna snapped. – This is my spot. You look out of the window – and the mood of a creative person. “

The house on Istra has long acquired the status of a family nest. The whole family used to gather here on holidays, the grandchildren spent their childhood. Pugacheva never planned to sell it or change it to something else. Until I met Galkin. During the construction of his castle in the village of Gryaz, Maxim and Alla spent their free time here. And even when the mansion was ready, Pugacheva was in no hurry to leave her native nest. Only after becoming the official wife of Galkin, she decided to move. For the first time her house in Istra was used by her daughter Christina, who returned from Miami with her newborn Klava. Grandson Nikita often came to rest at his grandmother’s house. It got to the point that Pugacheva temporarily transferred the house into the possession of her eldest grandson and his girlfriend Aida.

“They come every weekend,” the village guard told Antenna. – But Alla Borisovna is now rarely seen. Sometimes her limousine arrives, but whether she is in the car or not, who knows – the windows are tinted. But Alla Borisovna does not miss triathlon competitions, which take place in our village in summer ”.

Shakhmatov Anatoly Pavlovich, organizer of the Berezhkovsky triathlon, honored coach of Russia, vice-president of the Russian Triathlon Federation:

“With Alla Borisovna, we first talked like a neighbor. We were engaged in putting things in order in the village, cleaning up garbage, fencing the territory. So they were friends, until ten years ago I had an idea. “Listen,” I tell her. – There are such wonderful conditions for a triathlon. I’m a coach. Let’s have a competition. ” “What is a triathlon?” – asks. I explained that there would be people running, cycling, and swimming past windows near her house. “We will gather a thousand people!” – promised her. “Yes, it’s really straight!” – didn’t believe it, but agreed. She is an adventurer in a good way. And they gathered a huge number of people from all over the country and even from neighboring countries! Alla Borisovna, when she saw how many people had gathered in the village, was frightened. Still, she had a different social circle – singers, actors, and here such simple hard workers, doctors, engineers, veterans. “What are you doing? – I was surprised. – Here are the people who grew up on your songs. Come out, smile – and everyone will die of happiness. ” She was so touched by human hospitality that she ran home for souvenirs so that the winners had something to give. At the end of the evening she came up to me and said: “We will spend every year. Only I have a request – teach me triathlon too ”. That’s how I captivated her! She ran and got on my bike. The first time when I left the house, all the local athletes gasped – Alla Borisovna herself was on a bicycle. But she did not succeed in training regularly – a different rhythm of life. We rode several times, but did not come to participate in the competition. But she always played the role of a philanthropist – she gave prize money. And she always awarded the winners personally – she presented a special envelope with her signature. So three years passed. But then Alla Borisovna began to have health problems: the competition takes place in August, in the heat that Alla Borisovna cannot stand. I released her from the obligation to attend the competition. But at the same time, she always came and looked out of the window of the house. I remember once guests came to Alla, and Galkin was there. They all went out onto the summer terrace and amused the people. Galkin parodied the judges. Until now, Alla Borisovna tries not to miss the competition. Indeed, largely due to the fact that she picked up my idea, we organized the most massive event in the country in our village.

Now Alla Borisovna rarely visits Istra. But Nikita and his friends celebrate here every New Year. He invites my nephew and grandson to visit, and by tradition, on New Year’s Eve, I go to visit in a Santa Claus costume. I have known Nikita since childhood, when he was 9 years old. Alla Borisovna is a demanding grandmother, I remember that every time I checked my grandson’s homework ”.

Alla Borisovna moved here in 2011 – after the wedding with Maxim. According to rumors, the construction and renovation of the interior cost the comedian 50 million euros. Victorian décor, custom-made luxury furniture, a fireplace room and huge stone gargoyles at the entrance – against the backdrop of small wooden and brick houses in the village, this structure looks too pretentious and ornate. “With the move of Pugacheva, our life has not changed dramatically,” said a local resident. – True, when building materials were brought here, the roads were broken by trucks. Maxim promised to restore, yes, apparently, he forgot. But a playground appeared. All slides, stairs, swings are new, made of high quality plastic. Previously, there were rusty skeletons from attractions on this place. And now, look how beautiful it is. This is Pugacheva, when her twins were born, she gave us a gift. One thing is a shame, there is no coverage on the site yet ”.
