Alena Vodonaeva showed her house and talked about the interior: interview 2017, photo of the apartment

The TV presenter invited Antenna to visit and for the first time showed the apartment in which she lives with her six-year-old son Bogdan.

– Everyone who comes to me loves to examine the details and examine the interior. Our house with my son is, indeed, not a typical place, a mixture of a loft (when housing is decorated in the spirit of a production facility. – Approx. “Antenna”) and a wonderland that Alice fell into. I like the Southwestern District of Moscow and Leninsky Prospekt, where I now live. Initially, I considered options in these areas, and then the kindergarten, which we finally chose, turned out to be right there. By car, Bogdan reaches him in 10 minutes. He is comfortable, and I feel at ease. I had decided how our house would look like before it appeared.

– Jessica Rabbit (cartoon character of detective novels about rabbit Roger, in the picture behind Alena. – Approx. “Antennas”) I painted to order. It was made on a wooden ash slab, two by two and a half meters in size. I remember that they barely brought her into the apartment. I wanted a picture behind the sofa, right on the floor. First, I decided on the plot, and the choice was in favor of Jessica. Then she found an artist who could paint her on a tree.

“Latin letters A and B are our initials, Alena and Bogdan”

– I wanted the kitchen and living room to be one space. It is comfortable, functional and stylish. As for the brick decoration on the walls, here it was guided by the interests and character of the son. She made the main part of the apartment for him – brutal, masculinely clear. Therefore, the living room, kitchen, corridors, library, his bedroom and bathroom are designed in the same style: brick, iron, rough details, wood and metal prevail. The topic and character were discussed and thought out together. I love the nautical style and find it great for a boy’s room. Bohdan has a map of the world hanging all over his wall – this is not only an entertaining, but also an educational element. We often look at cities and countries on it before going to bed. For me, my son has a dream room. I would have wanted one myself as a child. But the other part of the house is for women. There I have my own separate apartment in the apartment. With a bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, cozy loggia, which is a separate room with a sofa. In the women’s section there is also a nanny’s room, it is decorated in the Provence style. This room we have is the kindest, as I call it. My favorite place in the house is the kitchen-living room, perhaps Bogdan and I spend the most time there.

– There are many unusual, atypical and interesting things in our house. For example, a huge pink keyhole mirror in my bedroom. Or textiles. It took a long time to purchase curtains, as some fabric flew from London, another from Paris. They were sewn in St. Petersburg, and each detail and bead was fastened by hand. I love the combination of soft pink and black, for me these two colors in a duet are both passion and calmness. And fantasies and spiritual harmony. The bedroom is designed in similar colors and reflects my character and thoughts. This is such a female princess boudoir mixed with the Joker’s lair (supervillain, Batman’s nemesis. – Approx. “Antenna”).

– My parents gave me a handmade lampshade last year. Also candles, books and glasses. But what is inside, I will not say. There are my personal secrets, secrets and skeletons on the shelves.

I also have a pink moped “Agent Provocator” with a horse saddle instead of a chair, which I am afraid to ride, because after the very first rental in our “ecologically clean” Moscow it will no longer look as cute as it does now. And it’s scary to leave it somewhere, so it’s part of the decor in the library. My mask and sword are also kept here. By the way, I can fence, and quite well. And, of course, books. I am a philologist by my first education, I read and read a lot, so they are my passion and weakness at the same time.

By nature – I am a terrible pedant and a perfectionist. I love order in everything, both in plates and in clothes. Every little thing is important to me. So that all the hangers in the dressing room looked in one direction, the dishes creaked perfectly from cleanliness, the books were on the shelves in size. Of course, I have an assistant, but believe me, everything in the house always depends only on the hostess. The order, tone and character are primarily set by a single woman.

Things have been waiting for their time for years

– The designers have messed up a lot with the light in my dressing room. He’s terrible. The calculation of the color in the lamps was incorrectly made, which, in combination with the shades of the room, gave a very strange effect. Everyone who enters there has green faces. Redo is a whole story, because the ceiling is stretch, LED lamps are located under it. To change them from warm to cold (as they should have been originally), you have to shoot everything. Can you imagine how much debris and dirt there will be? I’m just too lazy to take out all the things from there, so as not to spoil them. I have been living this way for two years now, recalling with “kind” words the designers, to whom I have spoken twenty times about the important role of lighting.

Wardrobe has been a sore subject for me all my life. I never had enough space in cabinets and on shelves. That in childhood, that now – the situation does not change. And this despite the fact that I do not like rubble, deposits and trash and try to regularly clean up the space. In this apartment, the dressing room is much larger than my bedroom. But I miss her! There are a lot of clothes and shoes that have never walked. Some things have been waiting in the wings for years, because either I forget about them, or I just don’t want to wear them yet. I don’t know how many pairs of shoes I have, and I don’t want to know. Moreover, the wardrobe is not their only waiting place. In the hallway there are two huge wardrobes from floor to ceiling, and so shoes live in them too. It’s already a shame that I have so much of it. When buying a new pair, I just don’t understand where to put it.

– The word “Rock and Roll” appeared in my son’s room after I watched this movie and was inspired by the soundtrack and the plot. It suits me more than Bogdan, but in terms of style, this light fits better into the interior of his room.
