Connecticut resident (USA) Alex Noel set a local record by growing the largest pumpkin.
This giant pumpkin was revealed at the Topsfield Fair in New England. This is where Alex brought this fruit the size of a small car.
The pumpkin weighs 1040 kg. As a comparison, we used the weight category of one of the lightest cars, which weighs about 915 kg.
Alex Noel received $ 8,5 thousand for winning a competition at an agricultural festival.
The Guinness World Record for growing the largest pumpkin weight is held by Mathias Willemains from Belgium – he has grown a fruit weighing 1190 kg.
