5 nutritional tips you shouldn’t listen to

Some of the eating and cooking habits that we know to be extremely healthy are not really healthy. What clichés of supposedly correct nutrition are better to give up?

Multivitamins

Obsessive advertising tells us that our health cannot be restored without taking synthetic vitamins. However, he is silent about the fact that only a small part is absorbed from them. Vitamins from foods are absorbed better and faster, and even the most common porridge is rich in nutrients. Eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water and do not overdo it with vitamin supplements.

Fresh Juice

Some nutritionists recommend starting the day with freshly made fruit juice. Of course, their benefits in comparison with packaged industrial ones are rather great. But it is even better to eat vegetables and fruits fresh, preserving dietary fiber and vitamins. Plus, chewing produces enough saliva to improve digestion.

Vitamin C

During the period of the spread of viral diseases and infections, many of us take very large amounts of ascorbic acid – vitamin C. Its excess in the body can provoke poor health: headache, digestive problems. A much better alternative during such periods would be to eat vegetables and fruits that contain this vitamin: oranges, kiwi, currants, strawberries, all varieties of cabbage and bell peppers, spinach and dill.

Fat Free Products

The obsession with low-fat foods can play a cruel joke on your body. These supposedly lightweight products contain many additives that preserve structure and taste. It is these supplements that can cause excess weight and malfunction of the digestive system. Plus, fats must necessarily enter the body, without them the work of many systems and organs is impossible.

Egg whites

Frequent eating of egg yolk is believed to raise cholesterol levels, which is why many people only eat egg whites. Even packs of separated proteins are sold for ease of use. However, according to research, egg yolk does not cause changes in cholesterol levels, while the yolk also contains the nutrients our body needs.
